I get lots of questions from folks about my favorite thing or experience in a particular destination, including, Hey Savvy, what’s your favorite spa?
As one who loves massages, facials, pedicures, and other [sometimes girly] experiences, I have to say my favorite spa in the world is Las Balsas, located in remote Patagonia in Argentina WAY off the beaten path in a town called Angostura, about an hour away from Bariloche. This Relais and Chateaux property is the perfect hotel and spa for the hideaway getaway. The spa is world class, private, super affordable, and quite luxurious. This is why it’s #1 on Savvy’s list.
Fun fact: When I was last there, the Dutch royal family had been in residence the previous week, and Queen Maxima’s brother owns an amazing Argentine Asado BBQ joint up the road.
