  • Kir Royale in London

The other night we popped into the Criterion Restaurant in Piccadilly Circus for a quick Kir Royal before dinner. We were headed to another classic venue, Le Caprice, but wanted to check out the Criterion, since we had heard so much about it.

  • London Afternoon Tea

A perfect combination of sweet and savory, the menu includes handcrafted tea blends, pastries, scones, and of course, the classic tea sandwiches. By chance, we just happened upon the Corinthia’s afternoon tea a few years ago and it immediately became our favorite.jan 31(1)

The only downside of this marvelous afternoon tea is that it spoiled our appetites for dinner last night, but more on that later.
